Every calculator on PawToolkit uses the same formulas veterinarians and animal nutritionists rely on — the NRC 2006 nutrient requirements, the WSAVA body condition score scale, breed health data from the AKC and equivalent registries.
Where we cite research, we link to the primary source. Where we make assumptions, we document them. We include vet disclaimers wherever outputs could influence a medical decision, because tools are a starting point — not a substitute for professional advice.
